  Industry Leadership Award

RECOGNIZING OUR LEADERS

The Canadian Animal Health Institute's Leadership Award recognizes and honours outstanding accomplishments by individuals or organizations in the field of Canadian animal health. The award recognizes leadership and innovation over time in the fields of veterinary medicine and/or animal health.

Who is eligible?

The award is given annually to the individual or organization whom the judges determine has best achieved the award criteria.

Who selects the candidates?

Candidates are nominated by a CAHI member firm and judging occurs in early March. The nomination form (available from the CAHI office) must be signed by a representative of the nominating company. Winners are invited to attend the CAHI Annual Meeting where the award is formally presented.

What are the evaluation criteria?

Leadership: The candidate should demonstrate the ability to train others and/or to initiate the solution of a problem which touches the animal health industry.

Accomplishments: What type of accomplishments has the candidate made in the areas of veterinary medicine or animal health? Priority will be given to achievements in the last five years.

Innovative spirit: What creative approaches did the candidate use to overcome obstacles or problems during the implementation of a task? Does the candidate have innovative ideas? How have those ideas been implemented?

Involvement in the cause of animal health: What is the nature of the candidate's role and involvement in the agricultural community?
